Training Transcript

What is it?

The Training Transcript is a record of all FAFS training programs you have completed which relate to your work as a resource parent. A sample copy of a Training Transcript can be viewed here.

How does it work?

All of FAFS' Training is pre-approved by DYFS as elective training and is FREE for New Jersey resource parents, and those parents who adopt children in foster care. FAFS keeps a transcript of all training you take through any of our modalities.

  • Attend a FAFS County Workshop, complete a Home Correspondence Course,
    take an online course through FAFS Train Online or participate in a FAFS Teleconference.

  • FAFS will keep a record of all your training programs on your personal transcript.

  • Once a year, during the summer, FAFS will send you two copies of your transcript. You have the option of sending one copy to your Foster Care Unit, if you choose.

    If you have participated in training programs with FAFS and indicated on your training registration form that you would like FAFS to forward it to your Foster Care Unit, you will receive only one copy.

  • If you would like a copy of your transcript at any time during the year, call the toll-free 1-800-222-0047 and speak with the training secretary. We will be happy to send you a copy.
