FAFS’ trained hotline staff will assist you in four very important areas:
· Providing basic information on Department of Youth and Family Services’ policies and procedures as well as the Manual of Requirements for Resource Family Parents
· Providing information on community resources
· Referring you to a FAFS’ Resource Family Advocate or other agencies, when appropriate
· Assisting you in completing an inquiry to become a foster or adoptive parent as well as explaining the licensure process and various programs
Who is eligible to receive FAFS’ hotline services?
· Prospective foster, adoptive and kinship parents as well as inquirers and applicants
· Foster, adoptive and kinship parents who are licensed by the Department of Children and Families Office of Licensing
· Those who have adopted children through the Division of Youth and Family Services
