One Simple Wish

Does a child in foster care in your home have a special wish? Are you having a hardship?
One Simple Wish would like to make your wishes come true!

Foster and Adoptive Family Services has partnered with One Simple Wish, a wish granting organization in NJ that grants simple wishes to children in foster care and impoverished families. This partnership will help fulfill wishes for children in foster care that exceed the reach of Foster and Adoptive Family Services’ Fostering Wishes For Children program, which is limited to a $75 wish annually. Through One Simple Wish, foster, adoptive, and kinship families experiencing a hardship may apply for a family wish and/or apply for wishes for some or all the individual children in their family. Wishes can range from $5 to $500.

To qualify you must currently be caring for a child in foster care and/or you must be experiencing a hardship such as a job loss, natural disaster or illness. Families experiencing hardship must provide an explanation of the hardship for the wish requests for those children not in foster care and/or a wish for the entire family to be considered.

Types of Wishes One Simple Wish Accepts:
Movie tickets, gift cards, services as music & art lessons, amusement park tickets, small appliances and furnishings, specialty and everyday clothing, personal care items, toys and games, and etc.

One Simple Wish will contact you directly if your wish has been accepted or if more information is needed. Please contact them directly at email address :info@onesimplewish.org with any questions in relation to wishes.

*Wishes for children currently in foster care do not require an explanation of hardship. Wishes for adopted, kinship, or biological children in a foster, adoptive, or kinship family require an explanation of the families hardship. A wish submitted for the benefit of the entire family, such as a washing machine, requires an explanation of the families hardship. Wishes can range from $5 to $500.
