FAFS’ Position on A3368 – Homeschooling

FAFS is in agreement with DCP&P’s long-standing policy, which has been in place since 2006, of not allowing children in foster care to be homeschooled for increased socialization and safety. While we support this policy, we cannot take a position on A3368 at this time because we have not been able to determine the rationale behind the legislative committee’s decision to make the policy into law. We are currently working to obtain more information, and, if received, will update our position statement at that time.
