FAFS’ summer camp scholarships for foster children in NJ give children in foster care the chance to attend a week of overnight camp where they can flourish and build self-confidence while having fun. This is especially important for these children, whose life experiences have been full of uncertainty and pain.
The camp experience also serves another very important purpose for some foster children; it gives them the opportunity to reunite with siblings living in separate foster homes for a few fun-filled days.
Thanks to caring people like you, over 200 summer camp scholarships for foster children in NJ have been awarded since the program’s inception, giving kids in care the chance to make happy summer memories that last a lifetime.
“Thank you for letting me go to camp. I had a good time. I made new friends and I learned new songs. I enjoyed canoeing and swimming in the lake and in the pool. It was GREAT!”
— Jerry, age 8
